It looks like with the website crash all of my posts about this have magically disappeared.  So here we go again!

I've made arrangements for us to be able to have a spot at PDX LAN in July.  The dates are July 11-14.  The organizer for the event is very familiar with what we do and was excited to have us distribute at the event.  We will have a high traffic table area available at the event and the organizers will be letting gamers know that we are there for snacks/treats!  They have not had success with people distributing items while others are gaming and would rather gamers just come to us.  Which I think will work out just fine.

The event has been sold out for months with 550 tickets.  For those who don't know, PDX LAN has a history of doing some really awesome philanthropy.  Last  year they raised 37,000 pounds of food for a local homeless shelter.  Bam!  Our kind of people.  Here's a link to that news article if you hadn't seen it before  http://www.policymic.com/articles/75095/you-ve-probably-seen-this-photo-on-facebook-here-s-why-it-went-viral

We will be given 2 passes for brigadiers for cookie efforts.  I'm going to try to get as much time off work for this as possible, but probably the most I can manage will be 2 days.  My brother is also going to help with distribution.  I'm looking for people in the PDX area that might be interested in baking and anyone who might be interested in working the table at the event. My goal for the event is $3000.  Lofty, I know, but these gamers are going to be hungry!

I remember seeing this. 6 dollars per person is pretty ambitious. I think we did about that at the golf tournament last year, so it's possible. How many cookies do you want? I'm guessing about 3k since we usually average 1 dollar per cookie. Good for you taking this on!

I put out a call for help on my Twitter and Facebook. What is the location like and where will the CB HQ be? Basically, I want to know if I send chocolates, will they get there without turning into a pile of goo.

So this is coming up in just a couple of weeks. Do we have any more details/have volunteers been chosen?
