Penny Arcade Expo East – Boston, Massachusetts
Easter arrives and brings not just the Easter Bunny but also the Cookie Brigadiers as they descend on the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center for PAX East.
The Cookie Brigade has been there since its first year, 2010, giving out tasty treats to attendees and raising money for Child’s Play. From your standard chocolate chip to Katamari cake balls, the Cookie Brigade has been there upping the mana reserves of geeks and nerds alike.
$164,113 since 2010
After discovering the awesomeness of the Cookie Brigade in 2014, Vickinator was determined to help out. Now primarily an organizer for PAX East, Vickinator and her partner in crime, Ryan, love raising money for Child’s Play each year by baking and distributing. In her free time, Vickinator is a graphic designer and button maker extraordinaire her Etsy shop, Geek Buttons.
Ran, more infamously known as Ransim, is primarily involved in organizing for PAX East. Involved with the brigade since 2010 at the first PAX East, she has helped with organizing and distributing since 2011. Her special power? Ability to count over thousands of dollars in mostly singles without losing to much sanity.
The crafty extraordinaire behind Rapunzel’s Tower on Etsy, Punzie is a well known fixture of the PAX community. Best known all across the US, and now Australia, for her amazing Oreo Stuffed Chocolate Chip cookies (yes, a chocolate chip cookie stuffed with an oreo), Punzie is the go to resource for bakers. She’s also a great resource for knowing what is going on in the PAX community and has a knack for promotion.
